Boštjan Cesar, Slovenian national team player, decided to study again
After almost thirteen-years of an active career as an elite athlete, Boštjan Cesar, one of the key members of the Slovenian national football team, decided to return to the educational system, but this time in a little different way. With the help of SPINS (Slovenian Professional Football players Union) and the SŠS (Slovenian Sports Union) he enrolled in a so-called educational system of on-line learning (e-learning).
SPINS (Slovenian Professional Football players Union) and the SŠS (Slovenian Sports Union) managed to arrange all the administrational details and helped Boštjan Cesar to join the school system again. Boštjan went abroad when he was 15 years old, so he was actually forced to quit the school system in Slovenia. Now after long 13 years of playing football in Croatia, France and Italy he decided to study again, and to finish his High School. Even though he is a great football player he realized that the knowledge is one of the most important factors in everybody’s lives.
"I am extremely happy and grateful that after many years, I am able to come back and "to sit in the classroom” again. On-line learning (e-learning) brings plenty of advantages and benefits to the top athletes, which are not achievable in the classical modes of studying. I will continue my on-line studying also on the Higher Education level, for sure«, remarked very pleased Slovenian footballer.
We have to add that Boštjan is the first and the most recognizable SPINS member who showed great interest and ultimate will to join the project of on-line (e-learning).
